ASIC 2020 Postponed
A Note from the Conference Coordinator:
After very careful consideration amid the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Air Sensors International Conference.
While countries, states and counties are working to control the outbreak and keep communities healthy and thriving, with the recent official classification of COVID-19 as a pandemic by WHO, the travel restrictions and unknown future of COVID-19 has made travel and planning difficult. Therefore, ASIC 2020 will be postponed until April or May of 2021. We feel this is the best decision based on the current situation.
Over the next weeks, our Technical Program Committee will be exploring the option of hosting a smaller virtual conference May 13-15, 2020 and which presentations will be a part of it. We hope you might consider participating in that when details are worked out.
Due to the cancellation of the in-person portion of ASIC 2020, I will be offering full refunds of the conference with no processing fees. At this time I recommend cancelling your hotel reservation and your transportation. Most airlines are allowing a 1-year postponement of flights. ASIC 2021 will be scheduled to occur again within that 1 year window to allow you to use your flight credits towards the event again.
If you have trouble with any of these items, please reach out to me directly. I will be working my hardest to ensure that this postponement is not a financial burden to you.
Having spent the past year preparing for the show with our technical planning committee, speakers, exhibitors, and event partners, we're genuinely upset and disappointed not to be able to host you at this time. We want to thank all our customers and partners for their support, open discussions and encouragement. As everyone has been reminding us, great things happen when the community, government and industry comes together and connects at ASIC.
Wishing you & your family the best,
Sandra Hemingway, Conference Manager
