Origins of the International Hub
UC Davis Air Quality Research Center (AQRC) is excited to announce a partnership with the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) to design an India-based Air Sensors International Conference (ASIC) with some funding support from the Clean Air Fund. This new conference will be similar to the US-based ASIC but planned with a higher degree of focus on the air quality issues within India and the surrounding countries. This will be a one-day event hosted in Bangalore, India during the first week of September alongside the annual India Clean Air Summit (ICAS), the flagship event on air pollution organized by CSTEP.
In partnership with Dr. Pratima Singh from CSTEP, Sandra Hemingway, ASIC Conference Manager will work with the Technical Planning Committee (TPC) to develop conference goals, choose session topics, invite speakers, and connect communities. TPC members will help ensure the conference focuses on educating and supporting people in the region.
